just in cases

forty nine of his very best, and one extra. a friendly spring reminder of the most incontrovertible stuff there is (number eight on disc one will never quit its heartstringly pullings! number sixteen on disc one refuses to let my hips be anything but saucy! number twelve on disc two is SO weird, six on two is cash n' carter family through and through and there are no no none never words for number five on disc two). is there any life activity that he is not good for?
elvis shmelvis? yahhh, riiight...

ffffriends

Periodically lauded and presented here on Elephantitis, my good buddy Dylan's trifecta Hyena has landed a verrry decent Boston article following their recent vinyl release Outside, The Great Drought, which I will hopefully be applauding in greater detail here in the near future. Go buy it. And then check out the article...
....here.

my kind of men

I'm totally losing my cool (ha) over here because this is the best mix I've ever heard. Holy shit! Purrfect, delicious marriage of two monster music weblogs, Aquarium Drunkard and Diddy Wah (hosted by AD, which has an impressive collection of collaborative mix'tape's). This stuff is the sound of nostalgia, and if you have even a hint of a twinge of a fetish for everything doo-wop/soul/old rock'n'roll, this is your new go-to. Do I dare to venture and call this both sexy and sassy? Yup. Pointy bras and Cadillacs! Winks and Coca-cola! Road trips and Levis jeans! Ever heard that infamous line of Godard's?
